    Ding Guanpeng (about 1708-1771 or later) was born in Shuntian (today’s Beijing). He explained the characters, pavilion landscapes, and learned from Lang Shining about light and shade and focus perspective. He was appreciated by the Emperor Qianlong and was promoted to the first class painter. He has served in the painting academy for more than 40 years. He often copied ancient paintings under the imperial edict. The composition is all antique, the color is bright and gorgeous, and the painting style is rigorous and meticulous.
