Shixi (1612~1673), a native of Wuling, Hunan Province, has a common surname of Liu. It has the name of Jieqiu, and its legal name is Da Gao. It is called Kun Can, Shi Tu, Dianzhu Taoist, etc. He became a monk at the age of 27. During the 11th year of Shunzhi reign in the Qing Dynasty, he went to the Great Baoen Temple in Nanjing and enrolled in the Tibetan Society to learn and engrave the Southern Tibet of the Ming Dynasty. In the 15th year of Shunzhi, he was the abbot of Youqi Mountain Zutang Temple.
