- Description:
On the inner side of the bottom foot edge of the lacquerbox, there is a “Ming Dynasty Xuande New Year” model, but under the black paint, there is still a needle engraved “Ming Dynasty Yongle New Year” model, which is a modified model. The surface covers the ground, water and sky with brocade carving. In the middle of the picture, an old man on a stick walks left to meet the two or three old plum trees behind Shiyan. A crane on his side lowers his head to trim his hair, and a pavilion behind him. Bamboo and wood cover the shade, which should be based on the theme of “Mei Wife and Crane Son”. The lacquer box has a steady paint color, a thick paint layer, a round knife technique, and rigorous carving. It is a typical masterpiece of red lacquerware in the early Ming Dynasty.
