Lan Ying (after 1585-1664 AD), named Tian Shu, was born in Qiantang, Hangzhou. He is good at landscape. He is a beginner of Huang Gongwang in the Yuan Dynasty and has visited various schools in the Tang, Song and Yuan Dynasties. His composition is refined and his painting is bright and colorful. His works in his later years are vigorous and hot, and his painting tends to be elegant. He was also good at bamboo and figure painting, and was an important painter of the late Zhejiang School.
