Wang Shimin (1592-1680), a native of Taicang, Jiangsu Province, has the character of “Xunzhi”, “Cigarette Maker”, “Xilu Old Man” and “Xitian Master”. He is good at mountains and waters, and his style advocates imitation of ancient times. He, together with Wang Jian (1598-1677), Wang Hui (1632-1717), and Wang Yuanqi (1642-1715), was ranked as the “Four Kings” in the early Qing Dynasty.
