  • Description:
A small cup with a large mouth, open mouth, deep wall, small circles of feet, and an underglaze cobalt blue book “Made in the Year of Chenghua of the Ming Dynasty” with double lines and six characters in regular script. The outer wall is decorated with dragon, wave and cross auspicious clouds in overglaze red color. The darker red color is used to draw the outline and important details of the image, and then the lighter red color is used to fill in the painting. Therefore, although the patterns are all red, the dragon scales and ripples are still clearly visible. The painting of dragon head and wheel claw is relatively simple and decorative. The “mountain” shaped waves are arranged at an equal distance. The whole decoration and style are different from Chenghua’s works. Two pieces of the same utensil are placed on a wooden base, and the bottom of the wooden base is engraved with the words “Qianlong Imperial Play”.
