- Description:
Emperor Xuanzong of the Ming Dynasty often competes with Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty for artistic achievements. However, he sympathized with farmers and had martial arts skills, and his political achievements were incomparable to those of Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty. In this painting, roosters and hens bring their chicks to feed on the grass, and the family feeling of nursing children is vividly on the paper. The chicken painting technique is delicate and delicate. Soft lines are drawn with dry brush and smeared with white powder color. It is striking and outstanding. It does have the lingering charm of Song people’s meticulous painting. The painting was signed with the following words: “Xuande imperial pen issued an edict to Yang Shi, an assistant minister”, and sealed with a seal of “Wu Ge Zhi Zhi Zhi”. However, the Xuanzong handwriting is obviously not true. According to its painting style, it may be painted by painters in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.
