In the late Ming Dynasty, collectors appreciated porcelain, first emphasizing Xuande blue and white, and then worshipping the five colors of Chenghua Kiln. At that time, the five colors in people’s eyes referred to this kind of porcelain. Among the Chenghua doucai wares collected by our hospital, the most decorative patterns are cups, including grape shaped cups, baby play cups, Gaoshi cups, flower and bird shaped goblets, and the famous chicken bowl cups. In Rongcha Li Shuo at the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, Cheng Zhe specially pointed out a type of chicken bowl cup that was particularly attractive. It was worth “a pair of hundred thousand” when it was a god in the Ming Dynasty.
