- Description:
This is one of the sixteen Arhat axes in a group. On the left side of the canvas is the inscription “Wu Binjing in Putian imitates the calligraphy of Gunxiu Master”, and the seal is “Chen Bin”. Although it conforms to the record of Wu Bin’s entering the painting academy, the style of writing is slightly different, and it is speculated that it is a copy of later generations. In addition, if the shape of the tree trunk in the painting is related to Wu Bin’s technique, it cannot be ruled out that Wu Bin once made such an Arhat painting group. Although Wu Bin’s other Luohan painting styles are rare, it is highly possible to draw innovative nutrients from them.
