The underglaze red porcelain is an important category of Hongwu porcelain. This porcelain bowl has narrow lips, wide mouth, circular wall and short legs. The inner wall is painted with six intertwined chrysanthemums, the center of the bowl is painted with a peony, and the circumference is decorated with double lines; The outer wall is painted with tangled branches and peonies, and the inside and outside of the mouth and the foot circle are painted with a circle of ripples. The fetal bone of this piece is thick, the sole part of the foot is exposed, and the core of the peony edge is left blank, which shows the characteristics of Hongwu style. In addition, the decorative patterns of Hongwu period also have the characteristics of leaving the middle stem of the banana leaf pattern blank, sharing one side of the lotus petal pattern, forming a group of positive and negative ripples, thick wavy lines and waves, thin lines and waves, and cloud shoulder patterns smaller than those of the Yuan Dynasty.
