Blue and white porcelain is the main category of porcelain in the Wanli period, with a large number and a wide variety of firing. This porcelain plate has a long mouth, shallow walls and short legs. The plate is in the shape of a lotus, with three layers inside and outside, each with 16 petals. The petals are all made of blue and white flowers. The upper layer is painted with cloud patterns on the inside, and the outside is painted with Sanskrit characters and eight folded flowers. The Sanskrit word “Buddha” in the Panxin script is decorated with two circles of Ruyiyun. At the bottom, there is a blue and white regular script of “Ming Dynasty Wanli Year”.
