The vase is a common utensil shape in Hongwu period. Generally, an obvious joint mark can be seen on the abdomen. The banana leaf pattern and middle stem on the neck are left blank. The main pattern of lotus flower is first painted with a sideline, and the border of the lace is left blank, then dyed with green material. This is one of the main characteristics of Hongwu blue and white and underglaze red decoration.
