Xia Chang (1388-1470 AD) was born in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. The word Zhongzhao is also called Yufeng. In the 13th year of Yongle, the Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty (1455), he was admitted as a scholar and became the official of Taichangqing. He is good at ink bamboo, and has learned painting techniques from Chen Ji and Wang Fu.
