- Description:
The mouth of a turtle is slightly extravagant, and the belly is hollowed out. It is green and white, and the jade is crystal clear and moist. It is Hetian jade. The jade craftsman skillfully used the black material to carve the lips, teeth, horns, fins and tail fins of the fish. The carving was meticulous and magnificent. The fish has horns on its head and a dragon in front of its belly. The fish tail is upturned, and its lower end is carved with wavy patterns, which is connected with the water rippled wooden seat. It is said that carp leaped over the fast Yellow River “Dragon Gate” to become a fish and will turn into a dragon; “The fish leaping over the dragon gate” has the auspicious implication of stepping into a new stage of brilliant life. Observe that there are black sidelines around the fish and on the back of the dragon in front of the fish, while the two mustaches at the corners of the fish’s mouth are uneven in color, which shows that the surface of this jade seed was originally a layer of black jade, which was carved by the jade craftsman.
