- Description:
Roll mouth, short neck, plump shoulders, large abdomen, flat bottom, curved handle, a series of holes on the handle, and a cover made in the Qing Dynasty. The vessel is like living porcelain. The body of the pot symbolizes the reality of peach. A peach flower with leaves and twigs is pasted on the surface of the vessel, extending to the space between the flow and the handle, making the flow mouth into a half open bud, which is vivid and realistic. The lid is made into a four petal melon peduncle, which was added in the Qing Dynasty. The original lid should be a five petal peach blossom button lid, which is the same as the red glazed peach shaped teapot unearthed in Jingdezhen. The body of the pot is covered with purple gold glaze, and the inside and bottom of the pot are covered with white glaze. The fetal bone is thick, the white glaze is green, and the exposed parts of the feet are uneven, with slight iron spots. On the bottom of the pot, there are two lines of six character regular script with the words “Made in Xuande Year of the Ming Dynasty” written on the double blue line, which shows the thick blue and white flowers with brown green spots.
