Description:
Skim mouth, round lip, deep arc wall, short circle foot. The outer wall is lightly marked with double cloud dragon pattern, the mouth edge is marked with two string patterns, the outer wall has blank drawing traces, and the inner wall has no pattern. The whole body is painted with white glaze, the glaze color is bright and moist, and the glaze color inside the carved pattern is slightly dark and green. The fetal bone is slightly thick, fine and white. The blue and white book on the bottom of the vessel is “made in Jiajing year of the Ming Dynasty” in six character two line regular script with double circles. It is recorded in the Pottery Book, Volume VII of the “Records of Jiangxi Province” that in the 26th year of Jiajing (1547), “3000 white tea clocks with dark dragon flowers” were fired. It can be seen that the tea clocks were used for daily drinking and banqueting, so the number of fired tea clocks was as many as 3000 pieces. The shape and pattern of this device are consistent with the records. The name of the “White Porcelain Tea Bell with Mouth” in the “Point Investigation Report” is rare, but there are only a few left in our collection, which shows that it is a daily tea clock used by the court of the Ming Dynasty, However, the consumption of depreciation is quite large.
