  • Description:
The shape is the same as before. There is no grain on the inner wall, and the blue and white on the outer wall is painted with double cloud dragons playing with pearls. Five green lines are added between the mouth and foot. The blue and white glaze color is uniform and thick, and turns purple, occasionally with brown and yellow defects. The fetal bone is well proportioned, white and delicate. The blue and white script “made in the year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty” has six characters and two lines in regular script, with double circles. Although Jiajing blue and white ware can not be compared with Yongle and Xuande blue and white ware in the early Ming Dynasty, some tea cups, such as the white glazed dark flower dragon pattern tea cup, or the delicate yellow glazed tea cup, are well made and more delicate than ordinary large objects. This may be because the society in the late Ming Dynasty preferred drinking tea and attached importance to tea ware.
