The Sixteen Arhats are the subject matter of Ding Yunpeng’s favorite Taoist paintings. In the late spring of 1613, Ding Yunpeng was 67 years old and drew four Arhats on four axes in the Tiger Hill Monk’s Nest in Suzhou. Each axis was painted with four worshippers. These four axis arhats are now in the possession of our hospital, and this axis is one of them.
