In the volume, many Arhats are based on the Guanxiu Arhats, with the appearance of Hu and the appearance of Brahman. However, Ding’s family has painted trees and stones and other backgrounds, and has shown the interaction between characters, forming a Arhat scroll that literati like to lean on stones and trees and blend with mountains and rivers. The ink on this scroll is getting thicker, the pen is extensive, and the leaf painting method is changeable, but the decorative meaning is becoming stronger. At the end of the volume, Wan Li Bingshen (1596) was signed. He was 50 years old. This is the earliest chronological work of Ding’s thick brush and thick ink Luohan painting style, which has profound significance in the development of his painting style.
