Porcelain wine cup with dull white glaze. This wine cup has rounded sides, a flared rim and a tapering foot. Comments:Harrison-Hall 2001:Although this cup is rather lowly, it may be dated by reference to finer-quality pieces of the same form, such as a larger bowl covered with a monochrome red glaze and dating to the mid sixteenth century in the Meiyintang Collection. Millions of such cups and bowls once existed but are rarely published or displayed in museums because of pressure of space.
