Description:
Votive plaque (ts’a-ts’a) made of unbaked clay. The roughly tear-shaped object was made using a mould and shows the Buddha in meditation pose sitting on a lotus pad (padmasana). The figure is surrounded by objects that Stein (1928, 361) described as stupas. In addition to these, two times three raised dots are on both sides of the figure. This could be a reference to the three jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha).
