Description:
Clay object depicting the head of a bird, probably a hoopoe. The bird is shown as having a thick and blunt beak and a crest of feathers on top of his head. Details are rendered with the help of incised and stamped lines. The beak has an aperture, which suggests that the object was either the spout of a vessel or functioned as a whistle. For a very similar and complete object see MAS.123.
