Comments:Khami was the capital of the Torwa Dynasty of the Kingdom of Butua (also spelled Butwa) from around 1450 to 1683. The ruins of Khami show that it was built using similar stone masonry techniques as the Great Zimbabwe. The Kingdom of Butua was known amongst Arab and Portuguese traders as a source of gold.
