Description:
Wall sherd of a glazed clay vessel. The outside of the vessel is decorated with appliqué scrollwork between which a plaque depicting a human face is set. The broad face with bulging eyes, flared nostrils and short rounded ears adorned with earrings is shown in full frontal view. Underneath it, the remains of an appliqué in the shape of a beaded jewel can be seen. The vessel was made of dark grey clay and covered with a dark green, translucent glaze.
