Description:
Globular porcelain vase with monochrome blue glaze and white slip decoration. This globular vase has a short neck with a dish mouth and recessed base. Typical of the late Ming era, its mouth and foot are ‘moth-eaten’ and many flaws are visible in the glaze. Its monochrome blue glaze is further decorated on either face with chrysanthemums growing from baskets in a crackled white slip. The base and inside are covered with a blue-tinged glaze with blue splashes.
