Description:
Hexagonal lobed vase decorated in turquoise and dark blue overglaze enamels. Mould-made, this vase is lobed into six vertical sections and has a flared neck and foot. Attached around the neck is a horizontal collar and on either side sprays of ‘lingzhi’ fungus form handles. A lion mask with a ring in its mouth is applied to both sides, painted in the ‘fahua’ palette with purple, deep blue and turquoise enamels and a white ground. The inside and the base are glazed white.
