Description:
A pair of stoneware vases with aubergine and turquoise glaze. Each of these two small baluster vases has broad shoulders and tapering sides and flares at the foot. The long neck is modelled as a bamboo stem with horizontal nodes and the mouth is flat and out-turned. The upper section is glazed turquoise and the lower section and recessed base aubergine. The unglazed foot ring reveals a red-brown coarse stoneware body.
