Comments:Published PDF date : Qing Qianlong Room 95 label text:PDF A89Vase in the form of an ancient bronze vessel called a huThis vase is of octagonal section with an eight-sided foot and two tubular handles on either side of the neck. Potters painted the pure white porcelain body on the foot with a dark brown slip and covered the whole vessel with a thick opaque blue-grey guan-type glaze with faint crackle. The base is marked with a six-character Qianlong seal mark. Throughout the sixty-year reign of the Qianlong emperor, seal script base marks predominated over standard script marks. The Qianlong emperor shared the antiquarian tastes of his father, the Yongzheng emperor, for ancient bronze shapes and Song-style celadon glazes.Porcelain with underglaze cobalt-blue mark and celadon glazeJingdezhen, Jiangxi province江西省, 景德鎮Qing dynasty, Qianlong mark and period, AD1736–95 PDF A89仿官青釉壺此瓶呈八方形,有八邊形足,頸兩側附貫耳。
