Description:
This triangular fragment in warp-faced compound twill shows a pattern of six-petalled rosettes, joined diagonally by stems with six leaves, with small trefoils and lozenge-shaped rosettes in between. The pattern is in orange, white, yellow and light green; the ground is blue. The pattern repeat is 11.6 cm in the warp direction and over 18.2 cm in the weft direction. Patterns in a naturalistic style appeared quite late and lasted probably towards the end of the late Tang (the end of the 9thC). Weave structures: Warp: silk, untwisted, blue, orange, white, yellow and light green, 40 groups/cm; Inner weft: silk, untwisted, single, light brown, 10 lats/cm; Binding weft: silk, untwisted, single, light brown, 10 lats/cm. Weave structure: 2/1Z warp faced compound plain weave. 斜紋經錦殘片，呈三角形，以藍色經線作地，橙、白、黃、淺綠四色經線顯花，六瓣團花作主題紋樣，花卉對角線位置各裝飾有一枝帶葉，另一賓花可能是四瓣花。其經向循環爲11.6cm，緯線循環應大於18.2cm。這種具有一定寫生風格的圖案出現相對較晚，很有可能是在盛唐晚期。 組織結構： 經線：絲，無撚，藍、橙、白、黃、淺綠色，40套 /cm；緯線：明緯：絲，無撚，單根排列，淺棕色，10根/cm；夾緯：絲，無撚，單根排列，淺棕色，10根/cm；組織：2/1Z斜紋經重組織。
