Description:
This fragment of jin in twill has a floral roundel pattern with eight petals in trilobate shape. The pattern, repeated at 5.5 cm in the warp direction, is in yellow, white, blue and green; the ground is in beige. The weave structure and pattern are the same as in the fragment LOAN:STEIN.329 in V&A collection. Weave structures: Warp: silk, untwisted, beige for the ground, yellow, white, blue and green for the pattern, 52 groups/cm; Inner weft: silk, untwisted, single, white, 14 lats/cm; Binding weft: silk, untwisted, single, white, 14 lats/cm. Weave structure: 2/1S warp faced compound plain weave. 這件斜紋經錦殘片在米色經線地上以黃、白、藍、綠色經線織出寶花圖案，其中藍、綠兩色分區顯花，寶花四周有八片花瓣，是典型的盛唐時期的寶花經錦，與吐魯番阿斯塔那開元三年（715）墓出土的藍地寶花紋錦（原名海藍地寶相花紋錦）基本一致，也和吐魯番阿斯塔那187號墓（唐天寶年間）出土的綠地寶花紋錦半臂十分相似。事實上，同樣的織錦在敦煌藏經洞發現還不止此例，藏于大英博物館的百衲經巾 (MAS.856)、V&A博物館的帷幔殘件（LOAN:STEIN.622和593）以及經帙（LOAN:STEIN.337）。俄羅斯愛米塔什博物館也藏有同樣的織錦，可能是某件褥子的邊緣（Дх91，92a.b.c.）。圖案經向循環約爲5.5cm。 組織結構： 經線：絲，無撚，米、黃、白、藍、綠色，52套/cm；緯線：明緯：絲，無撚，單根排列，白色，14根/cm；夾緯：絲，無撚，單根排列，白色，14根/cm；組織：2/1S向斜紋經重組織。
