Description:
There is a total of four pieces of this yellow silk damask on tuill: one in the British Museum collection, the other three in the V&A collection. It is woven with spun silk threads and shows a lozenge pattern repeated 0.9 cm in the warp direction and 0.7 cm in the weft direction. It seems to have been glazed on one side. Weave structures: Warp: spun silk, Z twisted, single, yellow, 32 ends/cm; Weft: spun silk, Z twisted, single, yellow, 28 lats/cm. Weave structure: 2/2 diamond patterned twill damask. 暗花綾織物,黃色,以綿線織成,外觀較爲粗獷,菱形紋樣,圖案經向循環約爲0.9cm,緯向約爲0.7cm。共出4件,分別藏于大英博物館和V&A博物館(LOAN:STEIN.392)。 組織結構: 經線:綿線,Z撚,單根排列,黃色,32根/cm;緯線:綿線,Z撚,單根排列,黃色,28根/cm;組織:2/2菱形斜紋。
