Tea-pot (with cover). Decorated on both sides in relief with a scene of figures on a bridge, with a pagoda and blossoming plum tree nearby. Made of red Yixing stoneware; also gilded metal (mounts). Made for export. Knob on the lid is damaged.

Giles, 2008, p.681.A copy made in Germany, at Meissen, 1710-13, is in BEP, 1908,0420.3 The teapot may be European, Regina Khral has suggested.
