Description:
Baluster teapot with curved spout, swept-up handle, splayed foot and a domed cover with a knob. Made in porcelain finely painted in coloured enamels with a river village landscape. In the foreground are houses beneath trees; on the water are two fishing boats and a ferry, with mountains in the distance. Foot, collar and cover decorated with black lines, with a dot and scroll pattern around the shoulder and a star on the cover knob. There are no inscriptions. Base fully glazed with a ridge and a small round red seal in three registers. (Spout was broken).
