Description:
Low cylindrical teapot with a slope to the shoulder, curved spout, round handle and a domed cover with a loop knob. Made of tan zisha clay from the Yixing kiln sites. Decorated on the shoulder with a Mao badge (Mao in profile to the left) surrounded by three incised characters.The badge has seven stars lined up around the bottom edge and the top is inscribed with miniscule characters. On the other side is an incised slogan. Underside of the cover is impressed with two seals.
