Description:
The sides of this porcelain teapot are molded into the form of a lotus flower with overlapping petals, the lid is modeled as a seed pod with a bud finial and the spout and handle are fashioned as the stalk with leaf terminals. Each petal of the body is painted with seasonal flowers in wucai style with underglaze blue, iron-red, green, black and aubergine enamels. The base is glazed with sandy adhesions to the foot ring.
