Comments:Published PDF date : Ming Xuande 1426-1435 Room 95 label text:PDF A602 Fluted stembowl Potters invented this fluted shape in response to a court order in the Xuande era. Chinese scholars call the stemmed bowl 葵花式 (‘Mallow shaped’). It is painted with ten unframed roundels of flower and fruit sprays including peach, persimmon, pomegranate and cherry.
