Description:
Carved ivory snuff bottle is densely decorated with scenes from Sanguozhi (Records of the Three Kingdoms), one side representing the scene of Liu Bei riding the horse and jumping across Tanxi river, while the other the scene of Liu Bei escaping to Jingzhou with his wife in the boat. Traces of the original colouring remain.
