Comments:Magpies are a symbol meaning happiness as ‘xique’ sounds like ‘xi’ meaning happiness. ‘Mei’ plum tree has the same sound as ‘mei’ eyebrow so this means ‘happiness should reach to your eyebrows’ or ‘happiness without end’. 31 magpies are one for each day of the month – so together ‘May happy things happen to you every day of the month’.
