Description:
A purple skull-cap, worn by a priest / lama. Made from purple damask silk cloth with dragon patterning on two of the six segments. Eight-pointed stylized floral motif applied to centre top; macramé knot and tassel made from red silk yarn stitched to middle. Circular ‘shou’ (longevity/immortality) motif stitched to centre front. Band [5 cms deep] made from blue brocaded silk cloth; patterning worked in gold metal-wrapped thread on satin silk ground. Lined with red/pink tabby cotton cloth.
