Description:
Register 1959: Ornately embroidered woman’s skirt made in two sections, each mounted on a waist-band of red cotton which attaches to the other half by loops and knots. The sections are made of bands of multi-coloured silk, embroidered and with sewn on silk tongues in two rows; small rosettes at the top of each tongue, some with mirror glass centres and tassels at the ends. The whole lined with blue silk.
