Description:
Horse face skirt (mamian qun 馬面裙), of pleated, wrap-around form. It is made up of a series of embroidered silk panels, with a wide central panel at the front and back, and narrower pleated side panels, which were sewn onto a cotton waistband, secured by buttons.
