Description:
A sheath, long. Made from tabby wool (commercially made) cloth with nap, mainly red, with yellow appliquéd designs at top and bottom; outlined with couched blue woollen (?) yarn. Inside (upper part) is lined with blue and green (innermost) wool cloth. Lower section lined with natural cream tabby cotton (?) cloth. Edges piped in contrasting colours. Small holes; evidence of former insect damage.
