Clay sealing, 1 1/8 inch sq., containing four Chin. chars. in angular seal writing, [dong bao yin xin] Tung pao yin-hsin, ‘Seal of the Tung frontier-district’, where [bao] stands for modern [bao] (Mr Hopkins.). Cf. T.XXVII.15. Marks of accidental burning on edges and under surface. Well preserved. H. 3/8 inch. Pl.LIII.”
