Description:
Small rectangular seal case made of carved wood. The centre is hollowed out and one groove have been sawn into two opposing sides. It was meant to hold the string which still holds part of the clay sealing in place.

Comments:Stein, Serindia, p. 1293: “M.Tagh.a.0025-6. Two wooden seal-cases, cf. T.VIII.5, type A, but with only one groove in sides. 0026 still keeps string and part of clay sealing; 0025 has fr. of clay. Roughly cut. 0025, 2 x ¾ x ¾ inch; 0026, 1 ¼ x ¾ x 5/8 inch.”
