Description:
Square seal case made of carved wood. The centre is hollowed out and three grooves have been sawn into two opposing sides. These were meant to hold the string which kept the seal in place.

Comments:Stein, Serindia, p. 445: “L.B.IV.ii.0010-0012. Three wooden seal-cases, as L.A.VI.ii.0024, etc.; 0010 with hole pierced through bottom; notched for three strings; good condition. 0012 (largest), 1 7/8 x 1 7/16 x 7/8 inch.”
