Description:
Rectangular seal-case made of carved wood. The centre is hollowed out and three grooves have been sawn into two opposite sides. These were meant to hold the strings which keept the seal in place.

Comments:There appears to be an error with the Stein no. here. Possibly “T.XII.002. Wooden seal-case, type C; see T.XVIII.5. String tied round. 2 ¼ inch x 1 inch x ½ inch.” O bjects excavated from quarters and refuse of watch-tower T.XII.
