Soapstone seal. The seal is four-sided with a roughly pyramidal shape, the apex is rounded and pierced so as to form a handle. On the face of the seal is a fret design.

Comments:Stein, Serindia, p. 115, pl. V: “Yo.0089. Seal of yellowish-white pebble. Four-sided, and roughly pyramidal in shape, with fret design cut on base. The apex does not reach a point but is rounded over. Hole pierced horizontally from side to side for string, by which it was worn. Edges rounded, and the whole polished with wear. Design same as Anc. Khotan, Pl.L, A.001.c. Base 11/16 inch; h. 11/16 inch. Pl.V.”
