Description:
Round seal made of banded onyx. The intaglio design shows the head of a male in profile. He wears a gorget, bead earring, and composite helmet consisting of a human face with a sharp nose and a pointed beard as well as an elephant’s head with tusk and curled trunk. The human mask faces upward, the elephant’s looks backwards and shields the back of the head.
