Description:
Saucer. Coat of arms of Best impaling Cheverell. The dexter coat is of Best of Kent and Worcestershire, blazoned “Sable a cinquefoil between eight crosses crosslets or”; crest, “Out of sa ducal coronet an ostrich’s head between two wings argent” (sometimes…”in the beak a cross corsslet”). The crest is drawn so as to suggest a duke, for the wreath should be below the coronet. The Service was made for George Best, second son of George Best of Greenwich. Made of porcelain.
