Kwei-Chow province, China.A stalactite from a village shrine, obtained about 1892-3. “The aboriginal people formerly had no images, but in each village was one shrine, in which was one unsculptured stone, usually a boulder as the sign of divinity and often beside it, one on either side, were two or four smaller stones, sometimes stalactites, making in all three or five stones.”
